About Us

In February 2024, Homecoming Development Corporation (HDC) was formed as an organization to fund business and cultural projects on the African continent and in the U.S. HDC collaborates with Mubita, LLC (www.mubita.net) and Mubita's Homecoming Economic Empowerment Network (HEEN).
HDC funds projects such chartered flights, wellness retreats, the Homecoming Headquarters, Wall of Return and specific approved business industry projects. Individuals, organizations and businesses can contribute to project sponsorship opportunities. Click the button below and support HDC projects with a general contribution of just $10.00 or more or project sponsorship at $50.00 or more. Contributions and Sponsorships, in general, are not tax-deductible. Please contact your tax financial advisor for more information. PROJECTS

Homecoming Express
Establishment of private chartered flights to Mubita LLC African Homecoming countries of The Gambia, Ghana, Liberia and Zambia. The flights will be called the "Homecoming Express."
Homecoming Headquarters
Development of the Homecoming Headquarters on 300 acres of land in Western Province, Zambia, gifted by the Barotse Royal Establishment in 2019.
Homecoming Wall of Return
Development of the Homecoming Wall of Return memorial project in Western Province, Zambia. The Walls will recognize our enslaved ancestors and their symbolic return home to Africa.
Mutual Economic Development
Funding business projects that support economic empowerment and strategic partnerships in various industry sectors. HDC will also host business trade missions to the Mubita LLC Homecoming countries.
Wellness Retreats
Collaboration with Our Wellbeing LLC (www.ourwellbeing.net) to host Domestice and International wellness retreats to reset emotional, physical, financial and spiritual well-being. Retreats will be in the Homecoming countries and the United States.

Priority focus areas include, but are not limited too, Education, Infrastructure, Tourism, Agriculture, Transportation, Security, Healthcare and many more.

CEO-Founder

Eric 'Mubita' Sheppard, CEO-Founder
Eric 'Mubita' Sheppard is CEO-Founder of Homecoming Development Corporation (HDC), President/CEO and Founder of Mubita LLC and his legacy company, Diversity Restoration Solutions, Inc., (DRS). In 2019, Eric began the Africa Homecoming Pilgrimages to Zambia, Ghana and The Gambia. The first Homecoming Pilgrimage was to the Barotse Kingdom in Western Province, Zambia, to commemorate the 400-year milestone of the 20 and odd American Africans arrival in Virginia under British rule in the year 1619. During this Pilgrimage, Eric helped to connect the Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge in Suffolk, Virginia, to the Barotse Kingdom through a Strategic Tourism Partnership, due to the similar histories of being places of refuge for those who were escaping slavery. The Strategic Partnership will increase tourism and business opportunities between the entities. Eric's mission and vision are to provide short and long-term solutions that bring hope and restoration. Because of his commitment to restoration and reconnection, the Barotse Litunga (King) granted him 300 acres of land to develop the Restoration Center and the Wall of Return ancestors recognition projects. Both projects are meant to enhance United States and Africa cultural exchanges and explore mutually beneficial trade opportunities. Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Eric is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. His combined civilian and contractor career working with the various Department of Defense (DoD) agencies for over 25 years, including quality assurance and industrial base management. One of the highlights of his DoD career was working on the top secret Advanced Technology Bomber (B-2 Stealth) Program during its developmental, test, evaluation and initial production phases. Eric has also held a Professional Designation of Contract Management during his DoD career. Eric earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) and holds Associate degrees from the Community College of the Air Force and Catonsville Community College (Baltimore County).
